RE: Kernel panic on install, Dell Poweredge 350

I don't think I gave enough info, but I have found a resolution.
Anyway, I was trying to boot straight off CDROM, and it wasn't working.

What worked is to boot off a win98 boot disk and run /install/boot.bat
from the cdrom once the win98 boot disk loaded. Maybe this can help
some other folks.

Subject: Kernel panic on install, Dell Poweredge 350

The last message I get is: "Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs
on 01:00"

I used the debug flag but it is not giving any additional info. Anyone
have any idea what I might try? I've installed Debian quite a few
times, but never on this hardware. Any help or ideas appreciated!
