VMware not compiling under woody...

I recently decided to re-install VMware 2.x on my debian machine at
work. When I try to install, I get the complaints about linux/malloc.h
being deprecated and to use linux/slab.h instead. But, I don't want to
much around with VMware's headers.

Is there a package I need to install to have backwards compatibility so
I can install and run VMware? It's pretty important for me to be able to
use VMware.
