Hi Kevin,

in Linux this is very easy, you don't even need an extra ftp program (although these may have nice extra features). Almost any file manager will do, such as konqueror, gmc, even good old mc.
Simlpy set up the ppp connection, open e. g. konqueror and type in the url line: ftp://username@servername . Then you can perform the same actions on the server as on your local disks, even copy files by drag-and-drop etc.
NB: Make sure to turn off konqueror's preview function before connecting.
