the kernel is not able to get a reliable report from your
BIOS as to how much ram the system has so it plays it safe
and sticks to 64MB.

you can override this in lilo.conf:

append="mem=XXXM"

where XXX = amount of ram you have.

or you could try tweaking bios settings. i have found that
certain bios settings impose this problem, also some bios
upgrades(only happened to me once) do it too.

i don't know exactly what bios settings, but several identical
systems i have some detect everything, some don't. i setup
my bios in a special way and it is usually always able to
see all memory(i cant remember a time with the exception
of the one incident). whereas my co workers don't do as
good of a job and sometimes their systems only detect 64MB.
