add these to your potato sources.list
deb http://people.debian.org/debian stable/
deb-src http://people.debian.org/debian sources/

do an apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade.  
apt-get install kernel 2.4.7 (I think he is up to that)

That should get you all you need.  Hope you have a fast connection for
he Woody upgrade, it took me over 30 hours!
