if you can't use the linux box as a gateway my second choice would be to
get a external NAT device (there are tons o f them from various vendors)
rather then trust the NAt that comes with windows(you want your connect
to go down everytime they reboot?). or get additional ips. my DSL
provider gave me 8 static ips for $80 setup no monthly fee i run
the cable modem/router direct to a switch then out from there to my 
external network then in to my firewall and out of my firewall to
another part of my switch then out again to my firewalled network.
(most SOHO switches can't do what my switch can its a very
high end device, so you will need 2 switches/hubs if you want
seperate networks)
