You can use 'ifport' to change theses settings.  If this feature
is not supported by the driver, you'll see a message indicating
that upon execution.

If the feature is supported, you can make the change permanent by
using the 'up' option in 'interfaces'.

Check:
# man ifport
# man interfaces
