insmod rtl8139.o

I've installed potato r3 onto a K6/300 that hopefully one day will be an ADSL router. I'm trying to use either a D-Link 528 or a D-Link 530TX+. The installer was able to add the rtl8139 driver and when I use insmod rtl8139.o I get:
rtl8139.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
Hint: this error can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO ro IRQ parameters.

So I try insmod rtl8139.o IRQ=10 IO=f200 (lspci -v) and get:
rtl8139.o: invalid parameter parm_IRQ

If I put in the 528 and use insmod ne2k-pci.o if get:
ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol ei_open
ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol ethdev_init
ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol ei_interrupt
ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol NS8390_init
ne2k-pci.o: unresolved symbol ei_close

Any help much appreciated,
Thanks,
Mike
