Any known problems with PHP4 in Woody?

I recently tried to install Squirrelmail on my Woody setup (apache, 
php4). It's giving me strange errors that I shouldn't be getting (e.g. 
"cannot redeclare trimarray()" when it's not being redeclared). Folks on 
the Squirrelmail list suggested that it might be a problem with php4 
(there was a known problem in 4.0.7). The version of php4 that dselect 
says I have installed is 4.0.100-1.
