unresolved symbols in ipx.o

Hi,

I'm trying to get ipx running in order to play Starcraft. Whenever I try
to load the ipx-module I get this:

/lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/ipx.o: unresolved symbol make_EII_client
/lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/ipx.o: unresolved symbol make_8023_client
/lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/ipx.o: unresolved symbol destroy_8023_client
/lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/ipx.o: unresolved symbol destroy_EII_client
/lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/ipx.o: Note: modules without a GPL compatible
license cannot use GPLONLY_ symbols
/lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/ipx.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/ipx.o
failed
/lib/modules/2.2.19/misc/ipx.o: insmod ipx failed

An ipx_interface check eth0 [any frame type] I get

ipx_interface: socket: Address family not supported by protocol

I'm not yet connected to an IPX network, but this shouldn't bother, no?
I put
    IPX_FRAME="802.2"
    IPX_NETNUM="0x12345678"
into /etc/pcmcia/network.opts for the time being.

I've got D-Link DFE660 cardbus PC-card as NIC, dpkg -l pcmcia-source
says

ii pcmcia-source 3.1.29-3 PCMCIA Card Services source.

TCP/IP networking is possible without problems, so where is the problem
related? The Kernel, the pcmcia-modules, my stupidity?

thanks for any hints and please cc me on answers,

Michael
