The maintainer, jor, told me on IRC that the problem I had was stemming from the latest xine being built on these packages (and maybe one more but I can't remember). Hope that helps. Scott Wehrenberg ----- End forwarded message ----- Redirected to the list. Unfortunately, I already had the latest version of libaudiofile0, and I tried upgrading to the sid version of libarts, no joy. Purged and reinstalled libxine0 and xine-ui, then reinstalled, just for good measure. Still no joy. Any suggestions, anyone, or should I just go back to regular old xine, which did have sound, but wasn't quite as nice? TIA, Steve -- Although the moon is smaller than the earth, it is farther away.
