The long (and useful) way is to install kinput2 + some input method such
as canna, wnn (FreeWNN is quite nice) or SKK. (that's the only ones I
know of). All are available for debian of course.
I'm not sure how to -use- these as I've used xemacs-mule for some time and
it had (has?) a different input method. (ctrl-space IIRC)
