Patching and unpatching

Hi,

I have a question about patching a kernel to the ac version.

If i want the ac version of the 2.4.12 kernel i have to download it and patch 
it with the ac patch.

How is it if the new stable is 2.4.13? I can't just take the normal linux 
patch because that is assuming that i use the normal kernel. I can't use the 
ac patch because its assuming i use the standard kernel.

Do i first have to "unpatch" the old ac patch, patch it with the new linus 
patch and then repatch it with the new ac patch?
