I've been using a Speedtouch modem with unpatched kernels since earlier
in the 2.4 cycle, although I'm currently running 2.4.10. However, I'm
running a user-mode PPP-over-ATM driver. The code I'm using comes from
<URL:http://benoit.papillault.free.fr/speedtouch/user.en.php3>.
