Installing newest Mozilla over Potato

Hi,

I've installed Mozilla via dselect. It says it's version M-18.
I've never heard this version. I thought 0.95 is the newest.

How do I install the newest version?
Should I just remove M-18 with dselect, then unpack the tarball
from mozilla.org to /usr/local? Or is there a better way?

Also my default Gnome desktop has some icons referring to URLs, but they
don't
work. I suppose, because I havn't installed Netscape...
Do I need to change the MIME settings, or something else, to make it work
with Mozilla?
If yes, what's the correct MIME setup?
