sorry + wvdial

Sorry for the previous letter in spanish, wich was ment for another list, and let me take this chance to explain my problem.

I am a new debian user trying to get my internet connection running. I have a DSL router, so my computer is connected to internet via an ethernet card among 2 more PCs in my small LAN.

When I run wvdialconf to configure the connection to internet, I get the following message:

"Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program? Did you configure it properly with setserial?"

So please tell me what to do to get it fixed. I don't even know where to start now.

Marcel
