If you're compiling gcc, you can  set the search path for .h files via
one of  the ./configure  options (don't remember  which one).  I don't
think there is a way to  hardcode the search path for libraries. There
might be one if you're building the linker (ld).

I am not compiling GCC.

GCC is not finding my header files, and I am trying to figure out if there is a way to
add a new directory to the search path.
