I'm sorry to have sent my rant about /tmp on Saturday. It wasn't appropriate for the list and it also wasn't any fault except my own that I didn't understand the differences between Debian and my usual system. I was very upset to have had my machine crash, then delete my work, but I needn't have taken it out on y'all. Jeffrey
