Floppy/CD-ROM installation problem
The following message appears after the monitor and keyboard have been
installed, primary and swap partitions have been set up, and partition(s) have
been mounted (not sure about swap):
"The attempt to extract the Drivers Floppy failed"
The machine is a 486DX100 with 111 MB RAM and 850 MB Caviar drive. Has two
3C905B-TX NICs. BIOS has PnP, CD-ROM is ATAPI but not bootable. Using Debian 2.1
obtained with Thomas Down's book, Installing Debian/GNU Linux.
