PHP4 compilation problem

I'm trying to compile PHP4.06 on a Potato machine. In fact, I got it
working, but now I want to add imap support.
The configure script works well and gives me no warning. But when I 'make',
I have this error:

Well, I searched a solution to this for hours, and now I'm quite lost !
Any advice or experience will be greatly appreciated...

PS Before telling me to apt-get any apache+php package, please note that I'm
limited to a few apache versions only because of the use of Chilisoft ASP !
