No, I mean use the one that ships with 2.4 and you will have no difficulty. At
least I had no difficulty using the one with the 2.4.5 that was build for
Potato (now it is 2.4.9).  As far as I can tell the one you download from 
SIS currently is actually what is in 2.4, and is 2.4 only.

The point is that the one in 2.2 does not support all 900s, only the old
ones, and to get the support for the new ones you need the new driver
and that requires 2.4.
