Yes.

Packages default to most recent version.  If that's the potato version,
you'll pull it from potato, and apt handles this for you transparently.
Note that xf86setup isn't a highly dynamic package, or much used outside
system configuration.

XF86Setup will configure for most cards (I found that some cheap SIS
sets don't work with the SVGA driver).  You'll generally need the SVGA
driver, plus any additional X server you intend to use for your card, if
any.
