RE: A problem



 I'm in the process of trying to apt-get dist-upgrade by Debian system from
 Potato to Woody-Testing, and seem to have stumbled across the "roadblock"
shown below that has limited my progress...
 
 If anyone has any suggestions on how this matter might be resolved it
would be much appreciated.  Early on I thought it was a Perl problem, but that
turned out (to my knowledge) to be a Perl problem that developed in the
apt-get upgrade process where Perl seemed to get partially deleted.

 /usr/lib/perl5/Debian/DebConf/Template.pm line 102, <TEMPLATES> chunk 3.
         (in cleanup) Can't call method "DESTROY" on an undefined value at
 /usr/lib/perl5/Debian/DebConf/Question.pm line 251, <TEMPLATES> line 3 during
 global destruction.
 E: Sub-process /usr/sbin/dpkg-preconfigure --apt returned an error code (29)
 E: Failure running script /usr/sbin/dpkg-preconfigure --apt
