I have read a test in the CT magazine and SB Live is fairly the best
supported under Linux. Other cards had problems, not accepting input, only
front speaker output, etc. I do not know how much the panel is supported,
but if it works as an ordinary sound in device, everything should be fine.
The only thing is that I am unable to enable the centre speaker of my 5.1
sound system.

Drivers are ok. You can use the kernel's OSS emu10k1 driver, the developed
driver from opensource.creative.com or alsa drivers. All works perfect.
