Re: Raid; mkraid /dev/md0_HELP?[solved]

Hi,

It's solved.........
Just tried patching until it worked....
I did not have my kernel patched.........why isn't it in the
kernelsource???????????

anyways. The following is what I usually miss when searching this
mailinglist. Solution:
read softwareraidhowto;
Get kernelsource; unpack
get kernelpatch;Ingo's raidpatch raid-2.2.18-B0
location:http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/mingo/raid-patches/
; unpack
link raidpatch to kernelsource and apply patch; patch -p0 > raid-2.2.18-B0.
build kernel and hope you didn't forget anything.

Please feel free to break my neck. Help others use my explanation and fill
in anything that I missed or mistyped.

Note:When I tried to make a debianpackage, It complained that the naming was
not according to the rules(not all lowercase: 2.2.18-RAID). So I made a
bzImage. It is probably the patch (coming from the redhat site)

Thanks for your patience and help,
Frans Schreuder.
