Re: wget and images
I'm using wget v1.6. I have downloaded images using the -r option. I have used the -l option
in the past. Perhaps a space between -l and 1 '-l 1'? I don't know it the -k option is what
you need.

I think your need the "-m" (mirror) option
"wget -m http://www.debian.org" will download the debian site to your hd.
