I will second this as sound advice and add that you will find that
learning Perl, and as much as possible about databases, especially SQL
is really where the money is. Currently the 'job market' for "Linux"
systems admins is just beginning to kick off. I expect that it will be
huge in a couple more years. It will also help if you have credentials,
such as certifications. This is very important if you intend to do
