Re: printer (EPSON 780) setup
Don't know if it's relevant or not but I notice that your dmegs ouput has no indication that parport0 has been "assigned" an address, nor that it has been "assigned" to lp0 (usual I believe).
Are you able to cat raw data to parport0 ?
