Ok, i managed to get farther in cups, and managed to configure cups for my printer. But when i
print something, the printer doesnt do anything. also, in Kups, when I try to edit the cupsd config
file, i get an error message "error while loading configuration file !"

I took a look at the cupsd error log, and found some weird things:

Job 5 queued on 'Lexmark 3200' by 'root'.
started filter /usr/lib/cups/filter/texttops (PID 6001) for job 5
started filter /usr/lib/cups/filter/pstops (PID 6002) for job 5
started filter /usr/lib/cups/filter/cupsomatic (PID 6003) for job 5
started filter /usr/lib/cups/backend/parallel (PID 6004) for job 5
PID 6003 stopped with status 32!
