Stil struggling with sound

I am still stuck with my soundcard.

I have done a 

$pnpdump --config > /etc/isapnp.conf

and 

$isapnp /etc/isapnp.conf

When I then run mp3blaster I get the following error message
repeatedly:

ad1848: Auto calibration timed out(1).
ad1848: Auto calibration timed out(3).
Sound: DMA (output) timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error?

I have tried to change the IRQ to 9 and 15 but that did not work
either.

I would really appreciate some help on how to solve this problem.
What is strange to me is that on my previous motherboard (both the old
and the new were Gigabyte boards) it worked.

I have run alsaconfig also but that did not change anything. So I
removed the files created by alsa in /etc/modutils about my sound card
afterwards.
