How do I set route at boot time ?

Hello,

I want to set up the route to a new box on my LAN.
If the route is not set, the connexion is refused (I think this is an otion 
in the kernel networking configuration)

Where should I put this route ?

From the docs I have found it should go in /etc/network/interfaces, but I 
can't figure out what the syntax is...
