Re: i810 woes... please help!



Hi Alvin,

I am aware of the XF86Com_i810 driver but I have read in several places that
this is only needed with XFree86 3.3.5.
Apparently though, XFree86 3.3.6 has i810 support built in (certainly the
-showconfig option lists the i810).

Cheers for the help though!
Any other ideas?

hi phil

you need to be using XFCom_i810 driver ...

XFCom_i810 -probeonly should give you info you need to check into

i think XFree-4.x recognizes the i810 driver by default
( easier, better if you are having problems...

if you need a working XF86Config  you can poke around and edit mine...
- be sure to have a genericly support SVGA monitor if you copy other
peoples XFConfig


- be sure the insmod lists agpgart as an installed module
