libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2?

New to Debian/Linux--

I d/l'ed Sun's JDK 1.3 (rpm), ran alien to get a deb, and used dpkg to
install. When I try to compile w/javac, I get:

/usr/java/jdk1.3.0_02/bin/i386/native_threads/javac: error in loading shared
libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such
file or directory

If I do dpkg -s libc6, I get:

Description: GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone data
 Contains the standard libraries that are used by nearly all programs on
 the system. This package includes shared versions of the standard C library
 and the standard math library, as well as many others.
 Timezone data is also included.

Where would I find libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2? Is that a different package?

TIA, Rob
