This partaly help.  Now printing jobs goes to nowere:

debian:~# lpr test
debian:~# lpq
Printer: e440@debian 'Epson Stylus Color 440'
 Queue: no printable jobs in queue
 Status: job 'cfA416debian' removed at 22:05:04.955
 Filter_status: waiting for lp to become ready (offline ?)


Any recomendation at this point?
