Help with printer

I finally got my hands to try to fix printer.  I have "Epson Stylus color
440".  Right now it doens't print:

debian:~# lpq
waiting for lp to become ready (offline ?)

Any recomendation were I would start (or a refference to a documatation)?

I am running unstable, and my printcap is:
