BIND died on upgrade to 1:8.2.3-0.potato.1

I had bind working fine on a server, did an apt-get update ; apt-get upgrade,
and now it doesn't recognize that it has any domains.  Are there any known
problems with upgrading to this version?  Or any suggestions on locating and
repairing the problem?
