Re: kde/kwin is real slow



Hmmm, anything with "auto", "animate", and especially "hover",
associated with it will slow things down.

I've got KDE2.1 on a 486DX2-25 (64M RAM, don't bother with less on
this slow of a machine), aside from it being slow to start up KDE
apps, it works surprisingly well when compared to less featureful WMs
(better than win95, although that memory is beginning to get fuzzy :).
