This is just a suggestion but there is a free boot loader called -
"os-bs"  You can get it at any openbsd mirror such as - 
ftp://ftp.src.uchicago.edu/pub/openbsd/2.8/tools/

I believe it will fit your needs.  Worth a look anyway.
