Re: help! just upgraded and now can't login!



Yes, thanks for responding.

I did see warnings during the upgrade, but they went by so fast and I didn't have
time to absorb the info. There's probably a log in a file somewhere yes?

Also, yes I'm "tracking" stable if by that you mean that I'm updating from the
stable distribution. (haven't seen the word "tracking" used in this context
before.)  The display manager  is xdm, and the problem is effecting root as well
as ordinary users. Thanks for the stop gap. I await further wisdom.
