Are you using Java in Netscape/Mozilla? Most of the troubles I'm
experimenting in this sense are related to it. There is a popular java
base chat site here, which holds CPU at 100%, possibily for hours. I
set the nice value to 20, so at least the machine stays somehow
usable.
