i have read many times that xconfig is virtually unmaintained and
can break easily on linux-kernel.(i can't cite a specific reference
see kt.linuxcare.com if your interested) bottom line don't depend
on xconfig, use menuconfig or just config .. from the times
i've used xconfig it seemed actually a lot more complicated then
menuconfig, because it showed all options, whereas menuconfig
only showed the ones available to you, for me it feels less
complicated.
