I hope you're not saying that you typed, say,

addgroup yourname disk

If so, you should take yourself out of that group straight away and

addgroup yourname audio.

Then change the group ownership of the CD drive to audio:

chgrp audio /dev/hdd

Making yourself a member of group disk gives you the power to trash
all your hard disks because you can write to the raw devices.
