QM_MODULES error - modutils

Hi,

I'm running Potato and had recompiled the Kernel with IP
masquerading. Now I had some problems and trouble with modutils:

Messages on boot up:
----
Calculating module dependencies... depmod: QM_MODULES: Function not
implemented
done.

Loading modules:
modprobe: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented

Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than
/lib/modules/2.2.17/modules.dep
modprobe: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented

modprobe: insmod * failed
----

lsmod gets me the same error message as above.
rmmod -a too.

I've searched the web and newsgroups looking for a solution and found
some suggestions about using "depmod -av" but it only returns the
same Error message: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented

How do I get a "new" modules.dep "compatible" to my current modules
and how should I fix the QM_MODULES error? Thanks!

BTW: I've modutils 2.3.11-8 installed.

Janto
