RE: MP3 and Floating Point exceptions

Do you mean emulate math coprocessor turned on? No I don't.
The Gimp works fine, as does everything else, bzflag, svgalib quake, and anything else I threw at it. apt-cache show tells me that the only other package they all rely on is libc6 (currently ver. 2.1.3-10 on my machine) Only other clue is that my soundcard sometimes makes a 'pop'(i only noticed last night, this machine hasn't been up long). Could dodgy hardware cause it... it's been alright up until now under RedHat??
thanks
Steve

It maybe a Cyrix bug. Basically, it is trying to perform a floating point
operations (like 4.3 + 5.1) and failing. Do you have the emulate a fpu turned on in your kernel config? Can you run other apps that used decimal math like
gimp?
