Re: D-Link Again!



I compile my driver as a module, but I use no parameters when I load it
as a module.  It should auto-detect everything since it's a PCI card.  I
could have a different version though.  I will check when I get home. 
The problem may actually be the nic though.  I know I had problems with
my D-Link for no apparant reason.  It was working, and then on a reboot
it stopped working.  In windows and Linux.  I reseated the card, took it
out of the machine and put it back in, and even changed PCI slots. 
Still didn't work.  So, I bought a Linksys but discovered I'd have some
issues getting it to work (V4 needs drivers other than what's in the
2.2.x tree), so I thought I'd try the D-Link again just for the hell of
it.  Loe and behold, it worked, and has been ever since.  So, the
problem may not be in your configuration, but the card itself.  I still
don't know why mine acted so oddly.
