16. The same happens on 32.
However, I solved gvim's problem by putting
Vim*scrollBackground: Black
Vim*scrollForeground: Blue
in ~/.vimrc
The same
GV*scrollBackground: Black
GV*scrollForeground: Blue
did not work for GV.
