Helix applet woes....

Hi, I've pseudo-successfully managed to isntall Helix Gnome on my 2.2 system.. BUT.. I am having a little bit of trouble with 3 things..

1) I am using the Sawfish WM and IIR there should be a menu or something available for each window allowing you to save preferences such as size and location (accessible via the icon in the top left hand corner?) and that option isn't there on my version...

2) The 'Desk Guide' applet (the one that manages desktops/workspaces etc.) comes up with an error message saying 'This WM is not gnome compliant..' and only displays workspace #1.. none of the others.. no matter how I configure it...

3) The 'Tasklist' applet (the one which displays the applications runing with little boxes ala Windows9x..) also displays the 'Panel' and any icons on the desktop as boxes also...

4) .. I know I said 3 things... but this is the odd part.. These problems have been occuring ever since I upgraded.. (and I've reinstalled Debian a few times and upgraded to Helix gnome a few times to try and solve the errors..) and they haven't gone away.. apart from once.. when i booted up just now to compose this email and ran startx it all worked fine.. (apart from #1 which i didn't check for..) i then closed Gnome in disbelief.. and re ran startx... (im in that session currently...) and everything has gone tits-up again.. :-(

So.. in short..my WM seems to be playing up and my applets are acting dodgy.. /me thinks this could be a Sawfish problem.. but as I am an reletively simple.. and tend to waffle on a bit.. I'm putting this to you guys :-)

Cheers,

Rus
