lilo will do this for you.  partition your disk ahead of time, install
windows then install linux.  you'll have to do a little extra work if you
install linux first.

the reason is because microsoft feels that nobody in their right mind would
install anything other than windows.  so they bulldoze the master boot
record.  you can make a copy using lilo or fips, but it's just easier to
install windows first.  let it destory your MBR and let linux fix it
afterwards.   linux gets along well with other OS's.   windows is a
homicidal maniac.

honestly don't know, but i see lots of options in the kernel config about
raid.  i'd be shocked if you'd run into any problems.
