I would like to configure my home OpenBSD firewall to reference my workstation for DNS queries. The workstation is a Debian GNU/Linux box, configured (I think) as a caching-only DNS server. I'm preempting authoritative records for a number of sites (eg: doubleclick & co), and would like to route the OpenBSD gateway through the Debian DNS server. Any starting points or clues? I'm not totally up to snuff on DNS configs, hoping to learn. Currently /etc/resolv.conf on the oBSD box is: nameserver 127.0.0.1 nameserver 192.168.0.32 # Debian box nameserver 206.214.98.33 # ISP DNS #1 nameserver 206.214.98.34 # ISP DNS #2 lookup file bind ...if I remove the ISP lines, lookups fail. -- Karsten M.
