I've got a problem installing debian GNU/Linux 2.1.
All works well until the point where the system is checked for
peripherals.
All but the SCSI-Adapter is correctly detected. I've got an
AdvancePeripherals-Hostadapter. (2931 U2W HOME) The program tries to detect the
adapter-card (pci) but there's only the repetition of the following
error-message:
"
enabling clock multiplier
copying script fragments into the on-board RAM...
SCSI bus mode change from c0 to 80
restart (scsi mode change)
enabling clock multiplier
copying script fragments into the on-board RAM...
command processing resumed
SCSI host 0 abort (pid 11) timed out - resetting
SCSI host is being reset for host 0 channel 0
ncr53c8xx_reset: pid=11 reset_flags2 serial_number=1 serial_
number_at_timeout=1 #both increase with every new error message
resetting, command processing suspend for 2 seconds
restart (scsi reset)
"
This is all. And it doesn't stop resetting the scsi initialization. I'm
only able to stop it with pressing the reset button. It's an eternal
repetition.
Following peripherals are connected to the host-controller:
°SYM53C895 (adapter itself) -> UW/U2W, Port number:6300, IRQ level: 10,
Host SCSI-ID: 7
°Pioneer CD-ROM DR-U11.01 -> U-SCSI, SCSI-ID: 0
°IBM DPES-31080 S31Q -> U-SCSI, SCSI-ID: 3
Someone able to help me?
